New Biopesticides for Controlling Plant Pests

The invention relates to the use of cytolytic bi-component protein complexes deriving from the fungal genus Pleurotus for controlling CPB and WCR. These complexes have been shown to be selectively toxic for the aforementioned, agricultural pest insects.

Smartphone-based Indoor Localization using Fuzzy Path Loss Models

An efficient indoor localization algorithm based on confidence-interval fuzzy models. The platform of the localization system is constructed on the basis of Bluetooth beacons and a smartphone.

Peptide ligands of antibody Fc region

The peptides were shown to possess affinity to selectively enrich antibodies from cell growth medium and human serum using peptide-functionalized pull-down beads and a prototype affinity chromatographic column. Another potential application of peptides as biorecognition reagents is in immobilizing capturing antibodies to a biosensor surface.
