The 4th Innovation Fund of the University of Ljubljana is coming!
Applications for the tender open on June 1, 2023. Both technological and non-technological projects can be applied for.
The UL Innovation Fund is intended for UL researchers who have a technology or solution for already identified challenges, but are missing a step or two to bring it closer to realization. A project can receive from 5,000 to 25,000 EUR.
To whom or what is the Innovation Fund for?
Knowledge transfer projects (whose IP is owned by UL) which lack any of the following steps needed to conclude a licensing/assignment contract, contract on joint development, or apply for a bigger tender to verify the concept :
- A feasibility study,
- Market research,
- A working prototype,
- Confirmed functioning of the technology in an industrial/clinical environment,
- Establishment of relations with relevant businesses.

The call for applications opens on June 1, 2023, and until then you are invited to reflect on the content of your application. We advise everyone who is interested in the UL Innovation Fund to contact the Knowledge Transfer Office before applying (for help, advice, additional information).
