Thank you for being part of UNI.MINDS 2022!

The UNI.MINDS festival took place from 8th to 10th November 2022 and featured more than 80 speakers. Three days of online events on food, health, climate, manufacturing, raw materials and urban mobility topics concluded with a live event.

The closing event of the UNI.MINDS festival included the award ceremony for the Rector’s Prize for the best innovation of the University of Ljubljana in 2022. At the gala event, finalists presented their innovative projects and competed for first, second and third place in three categories: 1) students and alumni, 2) researchers and employees at University of Ljubljana and 3) students with ideas, solutions and innovations for societal challenges (HUD call – humanities, arts and society).

In the student and alumni category, the awards went to WiBuBa bar, Water Soluble Cannabinoids and PsyAI. In the University of Ljubljana Researchers and Staff category, the top three places went to Stablezyme, Cavitation for Wastewater Treatment and Mobile Robotic System for Greenhouse Crop Monitoring. Among the ideas for tackling society’s challenges, WrapUp Tortillas, OptiLife and Vez impressed the jury the most.

We hope that the end of the festival leads to the start of networking, new projects and longer-term partnerships that will be focused on common goals. That way, we can strengthen the innovation community, foster a culture of collaboration and move towards a better future based on knowledge, a bright mindset and useful innovation.
