ScienceBEAT for young talents – applications open!

ScienceBEAT, the world-class scientific and professional event, will give young talent access to a global network of professional excellence in science and entrepreneurship.

Applications are open until June 18, 2023.

Participants will have the opportunity to gain a unique insight into the trends and challenges of the modern pharmaceutical industry and to feel the pulse of a global pharmaceutical company that is a leader in the development and manufacture of biosimilars and generic pharmaceuticals.

They will also have an exceptional opportunity to network and gain invaluable knowledge and expert insight from world-renowned scientists and entrepreneurial innovators who are pushing the boundaries in their fields. The event will also provide participants with hands-on experience of working as a team on a set pharmaceutical-business challenge and the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in practice.

The event will host two remarkable guest speakers, who will engage with participants both in formal and less formal settings:

  • Sir Paul Nurse, renowned British geneticist and cell biologist. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2001 for his ground-breaking research on the cell cycle.
  • Andy Baynes, former Apple, Nest and Google executive, entrepreneur, and product design and innovation specialist.

ScienceBEAT is aimed at prospective final year undergraduate students, as well as Masters, PhD and post-doctoral students in the sciences and business from Slovenia and abroad, who are looking to develop a career in the pharmaceutical industry and gain new knowledge and connections that will help them on their career path.
