Invitation to Info Day: UL Innovation Fund Call for Proposals

In April 2020, the University of Ljubljana established the Innovation Fund to support promising projects in the field of knowledge transfer. With the received funds, the projects will approach higher technology readiness level thus increasing the appeal of such technologies for potential buyers and the market. The Innovation Fund’s budget for 2020/2021 amounts to EUR 70,000. Funds will be allocated to selected projects through the Call. In order to present the conditions for the participation in the Call, we announce:

Info Day:
The First UL Innovation Fund Call for Proposals

which will take place June 30 2020 from 10 to 11.30 a.m.

Program:

  • Welcome speech: Purpose and goals of the Innovation Fund UL, Prof. Tanja Dmitrović, PhD, Vice rector for knowledge transfer at UL (presentation in Slovene)
  • Bridging the gap: 15 years of POC funding @ Ghent University, Ms. Ingrid Merchiers, Head IOF coordination unit, University of Ghent (presentation in English)
  • A POC from investor perspective, Andrea Basso, Progress Tech transfer Fund and Mito technologies (presentation in English)
  • Presentation of the First UL Innovation Fund Call for proposals, Mr. Matjaž Linec, PhD, Knowledge Transfer Office UL (presentation in Slovene)
  • Q&A

The event will be moderated by Urša Jerše and Simona Rataj from the Knowledge Transfer Office.

How to register?

Registration to Info Day is open until June 26 2020. You can register via electronic application. You will receive the link to Zoom event after registration.
